*Princess Huyền Trân was a daughter of King Trần Nhân Tông. She was married to Champa King Chế Mân in 1306 in exchange for Champa’s two prefectures of Ô and Lý (the stretch of land from Hải Vân Pass to Quảng Trị Province today). A year later, Chế Mân died. Princess Huyền Trân later married her former lover Trần Khắc Chung, a high-ranking mandarin in the Trần dynasty.
